Bitonix.io Launches Prime Access Suite to Court Institutional Traders

In a clear signal to funds, market makers, and high-volume desks, the exchange has launched its Prime Access Suite — a dedicated infrastructure layer built for institutions that need more than just a basic trading UI. The offering includes customized API access, dedicated account support, enhanced custody options, and tailored fee structures.

It’s a sharp shift for a platform once seen as retail-first. But with TradFi firms continuing to dip into crypto, Bitonix.io is positioning itself to be where serious capital goes when it needs speed, security, and flexibility.

“We built Bitonix Prime not just for today’s demand, but for the wave we know is coming,” said Marcus Caine, Head of Institutional Products at Bitonix.io. “Whether it’s OTC desks, quant funds, or algo shops — we’re now ready to support what they need at scale.”

What’s in the Suite:

  • Dedicated FIX and REST APIs with millisecond latency
  • 24/7 support and white-glove onboarding for high-volume clients
  • Tiered maker-taker fees, optimized for $25M+ monthly volume
  • Collateral flexibility across crypto, stables, and select fiat
  • Cold wallet segregation and SOC 2 audit paths for compliance

Behind the scenes, Bitonix.io has been overhauling its backend since mid-2023. That work is starting to show — and with Prime Access, the exchange is now actively courting desks in London, Singapore, and Dubai, cities traditionally aligned with larger players like Coinbase Prime and Binance Institutional.

Bitonix.io says it cleared $3.4 billion in institutional volume in Q4 2024, up 67% year-over-year. That growth was largely driven by early test partners, including prop firms in Hong Kong and Zurich.

The platform is also piloting dark pool execution for verified Prime clients — a feature long demanded by funds looking to trade size without hitting the public order book.

Even more notable: Bitonix.io is integrating its LOGX token directly into the institutional model. Prime clients that hold above a certain LOGX threshold each month will qualify for rebate boosts and early access to governance votes — a hybrid approach that blends token utility with traditional capital incentives.

Brand recognition remains a challenge — especially in traditional finance circles. But Bitonix.io’s roadmap, which includes ISO 27001 compliance and a push toward MiCA registration in Europe, suggests it’s not just chasing volume. It’s building the credentials to back it up.

If Prime Access gains traction, 2025 could be the year Bitonix.io steps out of the “emerging exchange” bracket — and into serious contention for institutional capital flow in crypto.
